Campers explored the vast world of engineering, directing their attention to the National Academy of Engineering’s Grand Challenge: finding clean drinking water. After being introduced to the problem, each camper was given a budget and artificial money with which they purchased various materials to construct the most effective and inexpensive water purifier.
